What Is God Saying to You? Learning to Trust His Word

Writer: Claimed By HimClaimed By Him

Have you ever found yourself in a place where you needed clarity, but your own thoughts seemed louder than God’s voice? That’s exactly where I found myself during one of the most uncertain seasons of my life.

But then, I stumbled upon Philippians 4:8: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

It hit me—God wasn’t just asking me to hear His Word; He wanted me to set my mind on it. I had been stuck in a loop of negative thinking, allowing fear and doubt to shape my decisions. Meanwhile, God was offering me peace, hope, and clarity if I’d only focus on His promises.

As I began meditating on scriptures like Philippians 4:8, Joshua 1:8, and Deuteronomy 30:19, my mindset shifted. God reminded me that His Word is full of life-giving truths, but I had to make the choice to trust Him. I needed to align my thoughts with what He was saying about me and my future—not what my circumstances were shouting.

I won’t pretend it was easy. It required intentional effort to replace my fears with faith, but the reward was worth it. I discovered that even in the hardest times, God’s voice can cut through the noise if we let it.

Are you ready to stop asking “What’s next?” and start asking, “What is God saying?” Pick up Quieting The Noise: From My Head to My Heart and take the first step toward hearing and trusting His voice more deeply. You don’t have to figure it all out alone—God’s Word is already speaking. Will you listen?
